sarcasm may not get you far, but it sure makes wherever you happen to be that much more fun.

Sarcasm and snarkiness can be wonderful tools in helping others and oneself gain perspective and humor in dealing with unfortunate circumstances. Otherwise you’re being a smartass, and who likes those?

mb, I actually agree with you completely, . I’m one of those people who relies on humor (even if it’s bad) a lot — whether I’m trying to defuse a tense situation or as a defense mechanism. What I’m really talking about in the post, though, are the cutting, mean comments that people sometimes make behind people’s backs, the kind of comments that almost make you *not* want to come into work that day.
Constructive sarcasm = good. Snarky sarcasm = bad.
