Know what?

Actual IM conversation with my friend Lauren about the Glass / Crank girl:

Me: I do love working with those kids.
Lauren: Yeah, they’re so much cooler.
Me: And they all come to the library, too.
Me: And they tend to gravitate toward me.
Lauren: They KNOW.

For the sake of disclosure, I should point out that, as a child, Lauren would ask the small-town Arkansas librarians for “something like the princess bride but more adult” and “books on death in the middle ages that are really graphic.”

Somehow, I never get tired of these very particular (and sometimes precocious but nonetheless pleasant) patrons.

And yes, I’d been waiting a while to use that many p-words in a single sentence.
